  • Festival Info

This year’s festival will be on Saturday Nov. 7, 2026 from 9am-4pm Eastern US Time on Zoom.

More information on the festival authors, featured speaker, how to attend, and the schedule will be posted when that information is finalized.

  • What is the Faith & Fellowship Book Festival?

What is the Faith & Fellowship Book Festival?

You may be wondering what the Faith and Fellowship Book Festival is. That’s understandable because there aren’t many book festivals out there featuring Christian books and authors. If you’d like to know how this all came about, read our history here. First of all, we’ll tell you what a book festival is not.

    Our Book Festival is not…

a writers’ conference. There may be writing workshops or questions about the writing process, but the focus is on books and authors. Some attendees may be writers, but all attendees are readers.

A book festival is different from a book fair. Book fairs are typically massive bookshops, a place to purchase books. You may purchase books at our festival (and we hope you do!) but a festival goes further. A festival is interactive. You will have the opportunity to ask questions of the authors and learn more about the books from those who created them. This allows readers to make informed choices about the books they’ll buy.

    Our Book Festival is…

a place to meet new authors and hear about the inspiration behind their books. A place to hear the most well-read Christian authors in the market today talk about their writing journey and what inspires them. A place where you can ask questions and meet new book lovers. A place where you can purchase books for yourself and for gifts in a manner that supports the authors.

Our festival is a great place to learn about the very best books out there. That’s why we sponsor the Angel Book Awards. The awards are presented live at the end of the festival.

Our festival is non-profit. Our aim is to connect readers with Christian authors and books they might not know about otherwise. The festival committee receives no compensation. We are authors too, and we have a heart for connecting readers and authors. We want to celebrate the work these authors have done and the way they’ve followed through with what God put on their hearts. We hope you’ll want to celebrate that too, and join us!

  • Questions?

    Questions?

Have a question? Please check here to see if your question is answered before emailing us. Thanks!

    • Where is the festival held?

It’s online on Zoom. As the festival approaches we will advertise our event on Eventbrite where you can sign up to attend for free. You must be a registered Zoom user and your Zoom name and the name you register with Eventbrite must match. (This helps us avoid spammers.)

    • How can authors participate?

We will let you know here and in our newsletter when author applications are open (usually late spring). You can apply and if you are accepted the fee is $25. There are a limited number of open spots.

    • For an author, what is the advantage of attending?

You will sit on a panel with other authors who write in your genre and answer questions from the moderator and from the audience. This gives you a chance to meet readers and talk about your featured book. During the festival our team will post your website and social media in the chat. You and your book will also be listed in our bookstore along with your preferred links. The festival will be recorded and can be shared from our YouTube channel.

    • Why would readers be interested?

You can hear from some of your favorite authors and meet some authors you never heard of before our festival. Find out how authors get inspired and what his/her writing process is like. You’ll get ideas for your personal reading list and for readers on your gift list. You can ask questions live, participate in some fun games, and win prizes!

    • Are self-published books accepted?

    Yes!

    • What kinds of books are featured?

Nonfiction, all genres of fiction, young adult books, and children’s books.

    • Can publishers enter books in the book awards?

Yes, either publishers or authors can submit books.

    • I can’t attend. Will the festival be recorded?

Yes, on our YouTube Channel. In 2025 we had a glitch and didn’t get sessions recorded, other than our featured speaker, but interviews with authors are being recorded and posted so you won’t miss hearing from our authors!

    • When is the deadline for submitting or when will applications be open?

The best way to stay informed on our schedule is to sign up for our newsletter. Generally the book award applications open in early spring and the author applications open in late spring. The festival author registrations will open in late summer.

    • Who profits from the application fees?

Authors and readers because the fees help support the festival and the awards. We do not make a profit and the committee members and founders are not paid. Our expenses include things like web services, postage, office supplies, honorariums, and the display awards for first place winners.

    • Are donations tax deductible?

Yes, we are part of The Mordecai Brown Legacy Foundation, a registered charity. You can donate to our festival at this link.

  • Our History

    Our History

It all started with a simple conversation . . .

In 2016, authors Cindy Thomson and Yolonda Tonette Sanders were sitting next to each other at the book festival where they first met a few years earlier. The 2016 Presidential Election was only a few weeks away and unlike many of the conversations happening around them, neither author wanted to talk politics. So, they talked books and festivals, each sharing her idea about an event where Christian authors and readers could come together in fellowship to celebrate works that honored God. With similar visions, Cindy and Yolonda realized that they had something else in common — neither woman had tried to move forward because each didn’t know where to begin. Thus, they decided to join forces and not know what they were doing together.

In the weeks immediately following their conversation, the women got busy, emailing and planning this endeavor. They were blessed to have many supporters jump on board such as their pastors, the bookseller, and authors who quickly signed up to be at this event. Two women who didn’t know what they were doing began this journey by faith, taking one step at a time, believing God would help put all the pieces in place. And He did.

The Faith and Fellowship Book Festival seeks to do something that no other festival has done — focus only on Christ-centered works. Cindy and Yolonda have enjoyed their time at other festivals and hold nothing against them. They simply want the work of their hands to glorify God. The authors who will be at the FFBF have varied genres of fiction and nonfiction, but all books meet the objective of the festival founders.  At the end of the day, may readers find their lives enriched by the authors’ words.

  • Welcome!

Celebrating inspirational books and authors in the spirit of reader fellowship!

Welcome! We are glad you found your way to the home of our nonprofit online Christian book festival and Angel Book Awards.

Please take some time to look through our posts.

  • Our Purpose

    Our Purpose

Simply put, the Faith & Fellowship Book Festival seeks to connect readers with really good God-honoring books. This purpose directs everything we do while planning and conducting the yearly festival and holding the Angel Book Awards.

We want to support our fellow authors and we want readers to find them.

The FFBF committee is all-volunteer. We have never seen our undertaking as something to make money at. In fact, we are under the umbrella of a nonprofit.

We avoid politics and any discussion that serves to divide the Body of Christ. We welcome all those who walk with Christ, who want to learn more, and those who are just curious. We believe Heaven is going to be quite diverse and we try to be as well. We all may not worship the same way or enjoy the same books. We may not all go to the same kind of church, but we all love Jesus.
